Entering My World

Many of you may recognize Kingdom Hearts as a game that was originally on the PlayStation (and PlayStation 2).  Finally, it has been 'remixed' as a game that is available for the PlayStation 3.  There's 3 games in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix however the third of the three games is just cut-scenes (from the original game) that you are supposed to watch.  The game revolves around 3 main characters: Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy.  The story-line for Kingdom Hearts Final Mix starts you off playing as Sora on this unknown world with a couple of other people and friends. However, you want off the island and spend the beginning of the game trying to get off by collecting parts for a raft.  Then a series of events occur and you learn out about keyblades and other worlds.  You end up having a boss battle and end up in another world called Traverse Town.  From there on your adventure begins and you gradually visit other worlds in order to collect the remaining keyblades.  All the while there are villains (from most of the Disney fairy tales) that are kidnapping the 'princesses'.  In each world there's a boss that may unlock other worlds that you must explore.  This game would be categorized as action-role playing and is one of my personal favourites.  I loved the games on the other consoles and when I heard that it was finally coming over to the PS3 I was very excited.  I'm currently on the first of three games and am cruising through the game.  The game brings back amazing memories and reunited me with some old friends.  It has an amazing story-line and builds a very strong relationship with each character that at the end of the game you just don't want to part with them.  The game-play is also amazing and is an amazing test of your patience and skill.  Some points of the game may get confusing (Alice in Wonderland World) but when you finally pass that part you feel quite satisfied with yourself.  I recommend this game to anyone that doesn't mind spending a little more time when it comes to finishing games and to someone that doesn't lose their patience easily.  This game can be a bit of a challenge at points but as long as you keep trying I'm sure you'll complete it.  I haven't started the second game yet but as soon as I do, expect a review.

  1. The whole "rescuing the princess" concept sounds reminiscent of Super Mario Bros! I'm pretty sure this game was actually one that I played/watched my brother play on our old PS1. Did you like the original PS2 (or PS1) game better than this one? (ps. What's a Keyblade?) Nice review!

    1. Yea I'm pretty sure that it was a really popular game back in the day, everyone I knew had it. I loved watching my brother play it. Well the game is the same as the one from the PS1 it was just remade so that it could be compatible for the PS3. A Keyblade is the weapon at you use throughout the game. You have to collect a different keyblade from each world!

  2. I think I've heard of this game before. That's cool that they remixed an old game PS1 for PS3. I'd love to try this game at some point. Which of the three characters is your favourite?

    1. It's a really great game. I highly recommend it and my favourite character would have to be Sora. I love how they portrayed him throughout the whole game.

  3. Nice! I remember this game a lot...I never understood why there were Disney characters though lol. Also, for some reason people always compare KOH to FF, any idea why? Because I see no connection -.-

    1. I've never heard anyone compare the two games and I'm thankful for that since there's basically no similarities. Yea this was one of my favourite games back in the days.
